about

First single and fifth track off the EP 'Dawn Is Night'

lyrics

Wait, I tried my best to say it
Now you’re turning away
It’s too late
Pay the price you’ve taken, now you’re trying to escape

Years unfolding, and slipping away
I take the time to reflect each and every day
The reason that I’m dreaming is that I don’t wanna stay
I’d rather be trapped than locked in this place

Taking your last breath I lay and watched
Struggling to survive I’ve had enough
The damage was done before too long
Fighting hard as I lost a part of myself

Now, I’m starting to figure out
What it means to be left alone
I’ll try
See the path that’s broken, to see the truth in your eyes

Autumn leaves are, staining that very place
The crowd outspoken, couldn’t believe their face
You watched on, didn’t give up the race
As I lay down, and find some peace

Taking your last breath I lay and watched
Struggling to survive I’ve had enough
The damage was done before too long
Fighting hard as I lost a part of myself

And even when I find you,
Away from here
The moment never rises
Just suddenly appears
But nothing ever changes
I keep realising these scenes
My memory’s blank and jaded
There was no stopping it
