about

First track off the EP 'Dawn Is Night'

lyrics

I was torn into a fragment of what I wanted to be
It’s hard to imagine that I let these things drift
I lied and betrayed myself with each gasping breath
That comfort was poison. It hindered all of this

I was sick, there was a fever running,
Constantly bed ridden with solemn melancholy
I was drowning deeper and deeper
There was nothing to elevate anybody

What do you do when your faith becomes undone
How do you break routine, mundane, worthless tasks
I was stuck in a place where no windows opened
Heard a story of a shack and a forest that I cannot see

I was sick, there was a fever running,
Constantly bed ridden with solemn melancholy
I was drowning deeper and deeper
There was nothing to elevate anybody

Through a kaleidoscope these perspectives assume some form
And even if you lose that hope, don’t reason that it’s gone
I threw it all away
I said no, there can be no other way
